Where Prayer

Meets music.

This Is How We Pray seeks to bring together the best of Christian music artistry and the transformative power of prayer. It is a place for people who want more from their prayer life and from their Christian music.

Our hope is that this is a space to pause from the hustle of the world; to listen to scripture, the Holy Spirit, and quality music; to encounter the living God and to be filled with Living Water; and to go play our part in the world.

Pause

Whether in the quiet hours of the morning before you start your day or as you commute to work, we create time to slow our minds. We wait patiently for the Lord before we engage in the hustle of the day’s needs and activities.

Encounter

We connect with God. We remember what he has don’t for us; personally and in scripture. We sense his presence, peace, and pleasure. Our “burning bush” moments may be few and far between or they may come regularly. But we choose to lean toward God with our lives and our attention.

Listen

We turn our attention to the Creator of the universe. Be it podcast, playlist, Word or song, we open our minds and hearts to the King of Heaven and of our lives. He wants to be known and we can know him.

Play

We move. We get going. We activate and get to work. We go with what we know, we respond to what we’ve heard. We get in the game and play our part in the world.

Hi, Kevin Bennie here! I’ve spent over a decade in college and university ministry. I earned a Masters degree in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care from BIOLA University and have my undergraduate degree from George Fox University. I love music and scripture! I long to create a contemporary space for people to grow in their relationship with God and enjoy good music.
